If more than one language is selected, note that a word that is misspelt in one language may be correctly spelt in the other, in which case it will not be highlighted. In my experience, this will elicit a response from the support staff very quickly. If you still can't get the function to work as you want, use the Feedback option (Alt-Shift-I) to open a support ticket.

It will be highlighted with the traditional wavy red underline, though. Note that there is no autocorrect function (yet), so a misspelling won't automatically be corrected. To clear the Detect language automatically check box in Word, do the following: On the Review tab, in the Language group, click Language > Set Proofing Language. If the Do not check spelling and grammar check box is selected, the spelling in your documents is not checked.
#WINDOWS 10 WORD SPELL CHECK IN FRENCH WINDOWS#
This should reveal the flag that allows you to enable the use of the Windows dictionaries instead of Edge's native ones. 2 - Open Word and type something incorrectly (that the English spellcheck will underline) 3 - Then right click on the word you have typed and select Spelling.

This should be possible, so please go through all the steps again to make sure your settings are correct.
